Our Story
The Beginning
The Justice Is US Project was founded in February 2022 after the reported increase of racial discrimination causing sever psychological and behavioral challenges in Black youth in the United States. That Spring, African Caribbean, African American, and African Latin adults from Fort Lauderdale, Florida partnered with the Miami-Dade NAACP Branch to recruit at risk youth of African decent to engage in civic activities as a preventive measure for the impact of racial discrimination in Black youth. Driven by the steps of their ancestors, they pushed Black youth movements aimed to liberate the Black community in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida.
Right Now
Today, the Justice Is US Project is partnering youth Black-led or Black-focused organizations across the Diaspora to build Afrocentric programs aimed to organize multi Black youth-led movements across the world. We are recruiting Black youth nation wide to participate in African-centered civic movements to promote change in their communities. We are pushing the motion that partnership in Black youth projects is priority, not the option.
The Future
As we push for Black liberation, we manifest that Justice Is Us Project will partner with every Black organization in the world. By 2050, factors such as racial discrimination, racism, and systematic barriers will be eliminated by the Black youth-led multi-movements created by the Justice Is US Project.
